Booking:
How do I book a rental?
1. Call to verify that a week is available.
2. Send a personal check with a note indicating the cottage(s) and the dates of rental desired.
(Your booking is confirmed when we receive your check, and we are not set up to take charge cards)
3. Last minute rentals are accepted until a few days before the rental date,
because we need to receive your check, damage deposit, and signed release form
before we can give you the key combination. We recommend Fed-Ex and we call
you to confirm as soon as we receive delivery. For Fed-Ex, please choose the
basic type that does not require a signature, since we are never home when they
come, and if they can just tuck it in our door we get it much, much faster.
4. In the unusual case that the desired week is already taken by the time we receive your check, we call
to see if you wish to apply it to a different week, and if not, we tear it in two, and return it to you.

Terms of Rental:
We hope you will enjoy your vacation at the Little White Cottages!
To reserve a cottage, 50% of the rental will confirm your reservation and the remainder of the rental is due 30 days before the date. A $200 per cottage Damage/Cleaning deposit (please write as a separate check) and signed release form is also due 30 days ahead.
Your personal check is always acceptable, but we regret that a $50 fee will be applied to any bounced check. Since we are too small an operation for charge cards, the arrival of your check confirms your rental. For complete fairness to all guests, reservations are confirmed on a "first come, first served" basis.
Damage/Cleaning deposits will be returned within one week of departure. Due to the short season, refunds due to cancellations will be available only if we are able to re-rent that particular week.
Our weeks run from Friday to Friday.
Check-in is anytime after 4:00 pm Friday.
Check-out is anytime before 12:00 noon Friday.
Weekends are from after 4 Friday til before 4 Sunday. Extra day(s) added to weekend rental will have the usual checkout time of 12 noon, except on a holiday which will also be at 4:00 p.m.
Cleaning: The cottages are available on a "leave them as you find them" basis. This system depends on some light cleaning by each family before they leave.
Extra Cleaning Option: For those who aren't able or do not wish to clean on their vacation, if you let us know a few days ahead we will arrange for extra cleaning, and you need only empty the fridge and bag and place trash in dumpster.
Additional cost is $75. and check-out would be before 10:00 instead of 12:00.
Sheets can be provided at $10/bed or $50/cottage.
Parking/guests/misc: No RV's, trailers, tents, or loud parties.
Pets: We're sorry but pets of any kind are not allowed.
Smoking: Basically no smoking inside, and if you do choose to smoke outside, please pick up and dispose of the butts before you leave.
Trash: A small dumpster is located at the end of our driveway. Pickup day is Friday morning, (but can change year to year). All trash needs to be bagged securely, and placed in the dumpster. Trash may be put in the dumpster as needed, all week.
Charcoal Grills: Each cottage now has a charcoal grill with utensils and cover, on a small cement or patio area.
Air conditioning: Both cottages have A/C, in addition to ceiling fans.
