The Beach:
A seventy five foot beach is a small but beautiful window onto the majesty of the great lakes. Especially during the week, this is a very quiet, peaceful area.
Our Patios are perfect for sunning or entertaining. The bonfire area is to the right of the patio. Toasting marshmallows, and singing around a fire is a favorite night-time activity!
Two patios! Firepit area is on plain sand in the middle. The beach is gently
sloping consisting of sand and pebbles- no large rocks. Good for children!
This is a view from the middle of our beach towards our neighbors. It shows
the typical dike construction system prevalent in our area.
Gently sloping sand and pebble beach is good for swimming.
The private beach is shared by both cottages. The patios are sunny and the
bank shady: both seconds away from the water. The seawall ranges from about
4-6 feet high, with steps to the beach.
Wading
The beach will vary from year to year: sometimes more sand, and sometimes less.
Due to the dikes in the area walking is pretty limited, except for a walk south
past 2 houses, then up a public access to "Orchard Beach", which is a nice,
historical district to walk through, with it's own tiny public park.
